Lust for Life

Each and every day is a blessing for all of us. I particularly love a quote from the wise tortoise in Kung-fu Panda haha
‘You are too concerned with what was and with what will be. Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called the present.’ We must be thankful for life, for living and for what we’ve got.

I’m a true believer of Karma, do good things to others and good things will come to you. Whenever something bad happens to me, i feel its sorta like a punishment and i must have done something wrong to someone or to God. And it becomes like a wake up call for me to stop doing wrong things. All of us are guilty of lotsa bad things, we gotta pay the price and its up to us to clean up our messes and change for the better.

I was once too caught up with what i don’t have, always wanting more than what i already got, just never satisfied with life and never happy. Then I realized that i was blinded by all these selfish thoughts that i failed to see what awesomme blessings God has given to me. Once i thought of all these wonderful things, i gradually become more satisfied with life and a lil happier. Don’t seek for what you don’t have, seek for what you already have.

There are many people out there with physical disabilities or financial disabilities, and yet you see them living their lives to the fullest just glad that they are alive. I watched a documentary on incredible people, there were conjoined twins and a woman with no legs, the fascinating thing was seeing how all of them lived their lives, they didn’t even seem bothered with their shortcomings but found ways to work round them and be happy. I think that is the secret to happiness- being satisfied. Now go make a list of what makes you happy- your family, friends, dog, cat, your new ipad or iphone, your girlfriend/ boyfriend, a vintage treasure you bought at a flea market or a thift store haha, your fav TV show/movies,your xbox/wii, your fav bands, your job, your dvd/comic/make-up collection, what you ❤ about you, …. WHATEVER YOU ALREADY HAVE IN YOUR LIFE. Look at that list everyday and i'm sure you'll have a lust for life 🙂

Titus 2:11-14
For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope – the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.
